The story begins with our protagonist, Nancy Drew, a young investigator who has just returned from a week-long eco-trip to Costa Rica, won by her best friends, George and Bess. Unfortunately, what should have been a blessed vacation soon turns into the worst nightmare of her life. As Nancy breathes a sigh of relief after surviving the week, even more trouble awaits her. She becomes the target of attempted kidnapping, murder, and blackmail. Despite these dangers, Nancy, alongside her best friends and her boyfriend, Ned, decides to investigate Green Solutions, a case that soon proves to be one of the biggest and most dangerous of her life.
