First,all Greg wants to say is that this is a journal,not a diary.This was his mom's idea,not his.He says but if she thinks he's going to write down his "feelings" in here or whatever, she's crazy.

The only reason he agreed to do this at all is because he figure later in when he's rich and famous,this book is gonna come in handy.

But for now he's stuck in middle school with a bunch of morons.

On the first day of school,he figured he might as well write in the book to pass the time.

Just don't expect him to be all "Dear Diary" this and "Dear Diary"that.
