Review of Malory Towers Good Bye

Author: Pamela Cox

Publisher: Enid Blyron

My Review

*About the Book:*
This is the 12th and final book of the Malory Towers series. It is the last term for Darrell Rivers and her friends at Malory Towers. They are now in the 6th Form, the eldest girls in the school, and have to say goodbye to the school they love.

*Story in Short:*
Darrell is now Head Girl. She has to be responsible for all the younger girls. There is fun, midnight feasts, lacrosse matches, and also some naughty tricks by the first-formers. The main feeling of the book is bittersweet - everyone is excited for their future, but sad to leave Malory Towers.

*My Review:*

*What I liked:*
- Very nostalgic and emotional ending to a classic series.
- Darrell has grown up so much - from a hot-tempered girl in Book 1 to a responsible Head Girl.
- Classic Enid Blyton style - friendship, boarding school life, lessons about honesty and kindness. Easy to read.
- Perfect closure for all characters.

*What could be better:*
- Since it was written by Pamela Cox and not Enid Blyton herself, some fans feel the old magic is slightly less.

It's a must-read if you have read the other 11 books. If you start with this one, you will miss a lot of the emotional connection.
